Renewable energy projects could power 400,000 homes.
On Friday, the Department of the Interior announced that it had entered the public-input stage of a brand new wind energy project in Idaho. The proposed site is about 25 miles northeast of Twin Falls and is forecasted to produce 1,000 megawatts of wind energy – enough to power 400,000 homes. The president’s administration has a goal of generating 25 gigawatts (25,000 megawatts).
Secretary Deb Haaland stated, “Renewable wind projects are a critical component of the Biden-Harris administration’s commitment to confronting climate change, promoting clean air and water for our current and future generations, creating thousands of good-paying union jobs, and jump-starting our country’s transition to a clean energy future.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the Interior Department would integrate the public’s input as they care for the environment.
- For Secretary Haaland to seek God’s insight in leading the Interior Department.
- For the president’s administration as they seek alternate energy sources.
